About TPE

Everyone has a paradigm, whether they know it or not.

Paradigm – (noun) A set of assumptions, concepts, values, and practices that constitutes a way of viewing reality for the community that shares them

More simply, a paradigm is the way people look at things, whether it be God, the world, etc. Some people are more set in their paradigms, others not as much.

Exchange – (verb) to give and receive reciprocally; interchange: to exchange words; to exchange gifts

An exchange can take many forms. It can simply be a conversation; two sides sharing similar or contrasting viewpoints. An exchange can also take on a more transforming role. Sometimes you take a product back to a store with the intention of exchanging a faulty product for one that works a little better. Maybe you were in the right store, yet bought the wrong product.  Then again, maybe you just need to get your money back and start shopping somewhere else. Wherever you are, it is clear that an exchange can be an important, helpful, and sometimes essential part of life.

The Paradigm Exchange is an outlet for amateur writers to share their paradigms.  The point is we don’t all have to agree in order to learn from each other and grow in wisdom.
