So Long, and Thanks for All the Fish

So this is interesting…a small town in the Northern Territory of Australia called Lajamanu has reported raining fish.  Apparently this is the second time in the last thirty years for this to happen to the 669 person town.  Even more interesting…is that this isn’t the only town to report raining fish over history.  The conventional  explanation is that tornadoes and waterspouts scoop the fish out of bodies of water and then transport them substantial distances before releasing them.  Check out the story using the link above, and the wiki explaining raining fish here.

Tokyo/Glow

This film by Jonathan Bensimon, titled Tokyo/Glow, follows a night stroll of an illuminated man from a crosswalk sign in Tokyo. The illuminated full-body suit effect was accomplished through a rigged translucent nylon outer shell with hundreds of feet of high-voltage LED rope lights.  I’m pretty sure this is one of the coolest YouTube videos I’ve ever encountered.
